Update of the Hazardous Marine Weather Bulletin
The High Surf Advisory has been discontinued as of 12 noon today, Monday 19th December, 2011
The Small-Craft Warning remains in effect for Barbados until further notice.
Analysis during the morning along with reports received from sea bathers and small craft operators has indicated some improvement in the surf conditions around the island.
As a consequence the High Surf Advisory has been discontinued as of 12 noon today, Monday 19th December, 2011
However, sea conditions are still above normal and the Small-Craft Warning will remain in effect until further notice.
Analysis is also indicating another area of high swells approaching the region during the week, and it may become necessary to re-introduce the High Surf Advisory by Wednesday 21st December, 2011.
In the interim Small Craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise extreme caution.
